鸽子山小学校董会关于新型冠状病毒的卫生管理政策更新（01/03/2020）
We were notified on Friday that New Zealand had confirmed our first case of COVID-19, and received a positive communication from the Ministry of Health which reassured us that the measures we have been taking to this point have been the correct steps.
各位学员和家长们大家好！
周五我们接到通知，新西兰有一例确诊的新型冠状病毒的病例。同时我们收到了卫生部的联系和积极反馈，确认了迄今为止我们学校一直采取正确的相关政策和管理方式。感谢大家的配合!
As we have been doing previously, we will be continuing to teach our students about good hygiene practices- thorough handwashing, sanitising when needed, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying at home if unwell.
和我们一直以来的相关工作一样，我们将继续教育和培养学员们的良好卫生习惯 – 彻底清洁洗手，需要时消毒，打喷嚏和咳嗽时要遮盖，如果身体不适需要留在家中休养。
We met with our cleaning contractors on Thursday to discuss our ongoing response to the virus situation and to reaffirm our commitment to the wellbeing of our students. The company work in many schools and we are confident their practices and cleaning materials are keeping our community clean and hygienic.
我们也在周四和学校的保洁公司开会讨论了我们持续应对病毒的清洁措施和用心确保所有学员负责福祉的重大责任。我们学校的保洁公司为多家新西兰本地学校提供服务。我们很有信心这家公司的保洁工作和使用的清洁材料将会一直保持校园的干净和卫生。
Our processes for checking the self-isolation of those returning from China were successful, and almost all our students, other than those currently in China awaiting the lifting of travel restrictions, are back at school. We have also added Iran to China as countries where we expect travellers to self-isolate for 14 days before coming to school. As with before, this self-isolation applies to those who have travelled, and not family members, unless they have been in contact with a diagnosed case of COVID-19.
此外，我们核查从中国大陆返回的学员的自我隔离工作也很成功，除了还滞留在中国等待政府的通行许可的学员外，我们的所有学员已经完成隔离返回校园。
根据卫生部最新通知，鸽子山小学关于新型冠状病毒的卫生管理政策已经将需要隔离的国家更新为
“从中国大陆和伊朗返回的学员需要自入境新西兰起隔离14天。或者曾经与已经确诊的病人有过直接接触的学员和家人，需要自我隔离14天。”
We will continue to monitor the situation, and work with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health. Our plans and procedures are under constant review with the Board fully involved.
我们将持续关注，并与新西兰教育部和卫生部团结协作。校董会也会全程参与并及时更新相关的卫生管理计划和工作程序。
Most importantly, it is important that at times where anxiety is heightened in our community, we continue to demonstrate the school values of Respect, Resilience, Responsibility and Excellence. This means towards one another, our fellow community members, and most importantly in front of our children. It is easy for the anxiety of adults to pass to children- sometimes we do not see the affect our anxiety and stress has on them, but it is certain that they feel it, and internalise situations. Please be conscious of how you behave around your children- our teachers will continue to be positive, and promote health and wellbeing in line with our strategic goal in this area, and grow good habits that will serve the children well through life.
最后强调一下，在社区的焦虑程度有所增加的情形下，恳请我们学校的每一位成员能够铭记和彰显学校的价值观：尊重，恒心，责任，卓越！并以“尊重，恒心，责任，卓越”为准则，善待彼此，善待学校社区的同伴，尤其是在孩子们面前做出好的榜样！有时我们的焦虑可能会不经意传递到孩子身上，我们也许没有发觉。同样的，孩子们或许没有表现出来，但或多或少在内心会受到影响。因此家长们的言行非常之重要。同时，我们的教师团队将会继续以积极的态度教育孩子们。按照学校的相关发展策略，努力促进全体学员健康和福祉，教育孩子们养成使其终生受益的能力和良好卫生习惯。
